Buying a bed is a decision that can be difficult to make from a photograph or a list of specifications. Visitors will be able to visit Wellington Beds at the show and speak directly with the people who make and sell them.
The family-owned company has manufactured beds at its Tawa factory for more than 34 years. Its Natural Rest Orthopaedic range uses 100 per cent natural New Zealand wool in almost all its beds, reflecting the company’s longstanding support for local wool producers.
Wellington Beds says making its own beds and mattresses allows it to sell directly to customers, without a separate retailer. Visitors to the show will be able to ask how the different models are made, compare their feel and discuss which type of comfort and support might suit them.
That opportunity to try a mattress matters, firmness is personal, and the description that sounds right on paper may feel quite different when someone lies down on the bed. Having a selection of beds at the show it gives visitors a chance to compare them side by side before making a decision.
They will also present a free seminar, Design Your Perfect Bedroom, at 2.30pm on both days. The sessions will give visitors another opportunity to hear ideas for creating a comfortable bedroom and ask questions.
One visitor could go home with a whole new reason to look forward to bedtime: Wellington Beds has contributed a queen-size TwinCoil Ultra Plush bed worth $7,498 to the show’s prize package.
